About the Facilitator
Hi, I’m Reid (they/he), a queer, trans therapist and artist. My work centers around helping people return to the wisdom of their bodies, especially those who’ve had to disconnect from that wisdom in order to survive. I bring a mix of somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, and irreverent tenderness to everything I do—whether I’m in a therapy session, making art, or leading a museum tour. I believe healing can look like play, stillness, curiosity, and community.

Origin story
Somatic Museum Club was born out of my own healing process. As someone who’s spent a lifetime navigating dissociation, art became one of the few places where I could actually feel. I found myself lingering in museums—not to analyze, but to listen. The paintings and sculptures often felt like teachers, like mirrors, like invitations. I wanted to create a space for others—especially queer and trans folks—to experience that too. To move through the world slowly. To feel together. To let art hold us while we remember who we are.
